Difference Between Vein and Venule

To return blood to the heart, there is a series of venules, veins, and muscular veins. Venules have much larger lumina and thinner walls than corresponding arterioles. Similarly, the veins are distinguishable from arteries and arterioles, because their walls are much thinner, compared to the diameter of their lumen.

Is a Venule and vein?

A venule is a small blood vessel in the microcirculation that allows deoxygenated blood to return from capillary beds to larger blood vessels called veins. Venules range from 8 to 100μm in diameter and are formed when capillaries come together. Many venules unite to form a vein.
